Today is one of those days I wish I could add scent to my blog and not just pictures!
Is there any scent better than Lilacs? I grew up with a whole row
of Lilac bushes in our yard and after we were married I always
wished for a Lilac bush. Now we have one- and it's in front of
the stone house too!
I wish I could bottle up that scent and keep it all year.

Hi Carmen,
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean by bottling up the scent of lilacs. Their scent is heavenly! Your bush looks gorgeous next to the stone house. Thank you for sharing with us at my HOME and have a beautiful rest of the week.
Blessings,
Sandi
Beautiful shots!
ReplyDeleteLove the colours.
Thanks for sharing.
Hope to see you on my blog:)
Oh, I do love the scent of lilacs! Visiting you tonight from Sandi's HOME party. Hope you're having a nice week. I've posted the new Homemaking Party for the week and would love to have you link up, if you'd like!

Hi Carmen,
ReplyDeleteVisiting via Kathy's party. Your lilacs are heavenly!! I could not agree with you more; their scent is unlike any other! I also grew up with these beauties. Unfortunately, here in the Mediterranean, lilacs don't do all that well - too hot, too fast. BUT, we've been lucky this spring and I have ONE little bouquet, just enough for me to breathe its most mysterious and magical scent!

We had a couple fragrant lilac trees at our old house and I loved them! Thinking I need to plant one somewhere on our new property(even tho' it's small and may be a challenge.) There are lilacs right outside our local post office and I love getting the mail because I get to walk by and small the lilacs!

Oh! I am living vicariously through those of you who can grow Lilacs until I can find a variety that works here in Georgia - gorgeous - miss their heavenly fragrance. I do appreciate you sharing with Home and Garden Thursday,
