Lately I've been reading the Anne books again, by L.M. Montgomery.
Right now I'm on Anne of Avonlea and I thought Anne had a nice ambition-
"I'd like to add some beauty to life," said Anne dreamily.
"I don't exactly want to make people know more...
though I know that is the noblest ambition...
but I'd love to make them have a pleasanter time
because of me...to have some little joy
or happy thought that never would have
existed if I hadn't been born."
This cute little teapot was given to me by my Mom, quite a few years ago.
It goes well with my collection of smaller, demitasse size teacups.
I hope you are able to spread some beauty and joy to those around you
this week! I'm joining Tea Time Tuesday and Table Top Tuesday again this week.
Hello Carmen,
ReplyDeleteI am also reading Anne of Avonlea right now! When I hosted my Anne of Green Gables Tea Party in early July, I read the book again. Of course, I had to read the next book in the series after that. It is a lovely read this time of year.
Your pretty teapot and cup look so charming sitting on the bench. I'm sure Anne would have enjoyed it too. Thank you for sharing and joining me for tea today. Have a delightful day.
Blessings,
Sandi
Your choice of place for tea is lovely; to sit on the bench and view the garden.
ReplyDeleteSo simple and so perfect. I love it. Thanks for joining TTT.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love that Anne quote!
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely ambition, and you have set a really pretty little tea space to match it!
Just so delightful.
