Summertime Tea

Would you like to join me for a little tea and cookies
on this rain-cooled summer morning?

The roses are smelling so sweet, and the birds
are singing, it's a beautiful day.

This tea cup and tea pot were given to me by
two special ladies, my Mom and my Grandma.

One thing I love about our house is that it is surrounded
by trees, so there are lots of birds.  I enjoy sitting and listening
to all their different songs.  This Mockingbird, below,
often sings for us in the evenings.  I love how God seems
to have made some animals just for fun- like the Mockingbird!

And God said, "Let the water teem with living creatures,
and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky."
...And God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:20,21

There are always lots of pretty tea things on her blog!

  1. I too like the idea that some creatures are created just for fun. And flowers are create for peaceful pleasure.

  2. Hi Carmen,
We have a lot of trees behind us and the birdies play among the branches and sing all day and evening long. We just love it. That would be one of the main things we would miss about our home, is the trees and the birds, if we moved. In many ways, we feel we live in a little haven of sorts. Wildlife, and a quiet neighborhood is just so lovely.
You have set a lovely little tea there on the bench and I'm sure there is lots of birdsong all around you. Your teapot and teacup are both very pretty and hold much sentimental value, no doubt. Thank you for sharing and joining me for tea. Have a beautiful week.

    Blessings,
    Sandi
