No worries

Like it has been in so much of the country, our summer here was very dry and hot.  We have a small creek running through our property and it was dry almost everywhere except this one water hole that never dried up.  We think there must be a spring under the ground there.  SJ, AJ and I took a walk in the woods behind our house the other day and stopped by there.  The pictures I took reminded me of these verses in Jeremiah 17:7-8.

But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,

whose confidence is in him.

He will be like a tree planted by the water

that sends out its roots by the stream.

It does not fear when heat comes;

its leaves are always green.

It has no worries in a year of drought

and never fails to bear fruit.
